Sorry...Secret Life of the American Teenager reference from tonight's episode. But on to buisiness. And my misspelling of business was a reference to Strong Bad E-mails.
Ok. I'll stop now.
So, even though every one of my co-workers and managers at work know how much I despise the cafe in our beloved store, I am still occasionally scheduled to care for the demanding and extremely annoying area of the bookstore. People NEVER cease to amaze me there, either. At times, it's amusing. Other times, it takes every ounce of me to not crawl over the counter, pound them to the ground, pour hot coffee on their face, and be done with it.
A local Hispanic lady comes over and before she orders, even after thoroughly looking at our menu above my head, decides to ask me whether we serve cortaditos. I tell her we do not as we do not serve Cuban coffee. She proceeds to speak as if she knows more than I do about coffee, stating that it's all the same. That espresso is the same as cuban coffee. I then explain that it is not because Cuban coffee requires a plethora of sugar that Cubans need in order to be as abnoxious, rude, and loud as possible for their daily lives. Ok, I didn't add the last part obviously, but it's the truth. Not really...because I LOVE Cuba coffee. I digress--she finally gives up, but I can see she still believes she knows more than I do about MY JOB. It's amazing how people, Hispanics, locals, and tourists alike, automatically assume that any cafe or coffee shop will serve Cuban drinks like cafe con leche and friggin cortaditos.
-sigh- Alright....got that off of my chest. See? That's what this blog is for. For me to vent. Sort of.
I bought a coloring book today. It's the Disney Princesses Weddings. My co-worker and I decided we needed new ones. Yes; a 20- and 23-year-old bought some coloring books. Everyone needs to be in touch with the child in them. Otherwise, The Walt Disney Company wouldn't exist in the first place. But, I haven't colored in quite some time. SO THERE. I started coloring some of it already. I told my co-worker, Kristina, I would color a page of Ariel and Eric kissing and would give it to her. She's pretty awesome. :)
Alright, that should suffice for Kayla's tangents and ramblings for the day. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah, I thought so.
Well, hope everyone had a Magical day. Until next time..See ya real soon! :)
